In this video, I review the Titan Fitness Single Leg Squat Roller. It is fairly inexpensive, especially if you catch it on sale. Also, it helps to make a not-so-enjoyable exercise; the Bulgarian Split Squat, slightly more enjoyable.
I like this piece of equipment for a number of reasons:
1) The roller can be used with dumbbells, kettlebells, belt squats, bands, and more without loading the spine.
2) If someone doesn't want a squat rack but wants to train the legs intensely, the roller doesn't require the same weight as a barbell squat to feel effective.
3) The split squat doesn't require the same amount of skill as the barbell back squat.
